Cameron, Eva G., Greenwold Manor, Old South River Road, Antigonish,
passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, in St. Martha's Regional
Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late John Dan and Ethel
(Prime) Cameron. Eva was a very active lady and heavily involved with
the Ladies Auxiliary of Arras Branch 59 of the Royal Canadian Legion,
Crime Stoppers, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Eva loved dancing
and was a member of the Maple Leaf Go-Getters Club and a great fan of
Newfie Fever. While Eva had no children of her own, she loved to knit
for the children of all her family and friends. She also enjoyed
making quilts and afghans.
She is survived by sisters, Edith Aker, Beverly Baxter, and Effie
Cameron, all of Antigonish; brothers, Jack (Ann), James River, Norman
(Betty), West River, special niece Danielle and many other nieces and
nephews.
She is predeceased by sister, Ruth Barter, Hilda McElwain, brothers
Angus and Gordon.
Visitation will be Sunday 7 to 9pm at the C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135
College Street, Antigonish. Funeral Service Monday at Lochaber United
Church at 2:00pm, with Reverend Keith Selwyn-Smith presiding. Burial
to follow in North Lochaber Cemetery.
