Broussard, Gerard Francis, 55, Pomquet, Antigonish County passed away
on September 19, 2008 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital,
Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Julie Broussard.
Jerry was employed with the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation in bridge construction. He had a great interest in sports; especially, softball and hockey. He also coached minor hockey for a number of years. Jerry was a real people person as attested to by his many friends.
He is survived by his wife, the former Theresa Morell; daughter, Chantel (Mark) Sangster, Antigonish; son, Jason (Michelle), Calgary; grandson, Duncan Gerard Sangster; brother David (Doris), Halifax; Simon (Marie), Antigonish; sisters: Shirley MacDonald, Antigonish; Carol Broussard, Antigonish.
He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph.
Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm on Saturday. Funeral mass will be celebrated in Ste. Croix Church, Pomquet on Sunday at 2:00 pm with Rev, P.J. Baccardax presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only please.
