MacLellan, Johnathan Stefan William, 13, was received into God's Loving embrace on October 26, 2011. Johnathan was beloved son of Dorothy Elizabeth Izzard and Basil Curtis MacLellan, Sr., brother of Patricia, Maria, Basil, Oliver, Joseph, Jeremiah, and Lucas; uncle of Madison, and Destiny,; special cousin of Allison and Tamara, grandson of Mary Alice Izzard and Blanche (Betsy) Borden; shining student at St. Andrews Jr. High School; godson of Steve and Erin (Ontario), nephew of 12 aunts and 8 uncles.

Johnathan was an active member of the Royal Canadian Army Cadets of Antigonish, where he used his creative spirit and his love of drawing in artistic projects (e.g., packing tape statue of The Unknown Soldier). Fishing, football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, swimming, running, and wrestling were among his favourite sports. Johnathan was born gifted with the ability to fix his own bikes and scooter which he loved to ride. Johnathan was a proud African Nova Scotian and indigenous native person which sparked his interest in all sciences and drumming. Johnathan had a tender, compassionate heart evident to all who knew him and were blessed by his sense of humour, infectious laugh, and joy filled dance.

Johnathan was predeceased by grandfathers, George Albert Borden and Hugh Joseph Izzard, Sr.; great grandparents, John and Charlotte Jordan; William James and Mary Rose Borden, Mary Agnes Desmond and Wilbert George Reddick, Joseph Daniel Izzard and Winnifred (Davidson) Izzard; Uncle William "Billy" Pelly and Aunt Veronica Pelly.

Visitation will be held at the C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish, on Saturday from 7 to 9pm and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A private ecumenical service for family and close friends will be held Sunday at 5:30pm, with Reverend Elaine Walcott presiding. Funeral Mass will be held Monday in St. Ninian's Cathedral at 10:00am, with Reverend Tom MacNeil presiding. Burial to follow in St. Monica's Cemetery, Lincolnville.

In Memoriam, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Army Cadets or the Royal Canadian Legion, in honour of Johnathan's uncle, Walter Jarvis, WWII Veteran.
