Frederick Joseph Nowe

Nowe, Frederick Joseph, 80, of North Grant, Antigonish Co. passed away on July 9, 2012 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late James and Ethel (Slaunwhite) Nowe.

Fred was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a laborer in the forestry industry for most of his life. He was known for his love of, and kindness to, all animals.

He is survived by sisters: Mildred LeFleur, Ottawa and Sylvia Gardner, Bridgewater.

He was predeceased by a brother, Leo.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Wednesday  from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Maryvale on Thursday at 2:00 pm Burial in the parish cemetery. Online condolences: www.clcurry.com
