Elsie Madeline Kelly

Kelly, Elsie Madeline, 67, of Addington Forks, Antigonish Co., passed away peacefully on July 27, 2012 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Manchester, Guysborough, Co., she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Wilcox) Andrews.

Elsie was a housewife who devoted everything to her family. She loved children and her 2 dogs, Jada and Hunter. She also enjoyed spending time at her cottage. She was a deeply spiritual person.

She is survived by her husband Ralph Kelly; children: Juanita (David) Chisholm, Antigonish; Mark (Allison), Antigonish; James (Claire), Antigonish; Sandy (Shannon), Antigonish; David (Kathleen Reid), Edmonton; Candace (Andrew MacPherson), Antigonish; grandchildren: Kale, Brandon, Kyle Kaitlan, Colby, Gregory, Zachary, Griffen, Anna, Jordan, and Luke; brother Lindsey Andrews, Boylston; sisters Myrtle Baxter, Brighton, Ont.; Evelyn MacDonald, Antigonish; sister in law, Donalda Kelly and brother in law, Grard Kelly.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by brothers Harvey and Ralph; sisters Florence, Hazel, Edith, and Eva; and father and mother in law Maurice and Lydia Kelly.

Visitation will be from 7-9pm Saturday and 2-4pm and 7-9pm Sunday in C.L.Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish. Funeral service will be celebrated Monday at 2:00pm in St. James United Church, with Reverend Peter Smith presiding. Burial in Glen Bard Cemetery, James River, Antigonish Co.
