Chisholm, Hugh Reginald, 58, of Antigonish passed away on August 31, 2015, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in James River, he was a son of the late Hugh and Betty (Chisholm) Chisholm.

 Reg worked with Nova Construction and then Martin Marrietta of Auld's Cove for 22 years. During his time in Fort McMurray, he worked with TBG Contracting and most recently Stoney Valley Contracting, for whom he had the utmost respect. Reg liked to hunt, bowl, and play darts, and was known to eat the odd lobster. He especially cherished his four grandsons who meant the world to him.

Reg is survived by his wife, Karen (McCoul), whom he adored, sons, Troy (Wendy), Whitehorse and Steven, at home; grandsons, Michael, Riley, Jack, and Graham. Also survived by siblings, Debbie (Roddy) Adams, Cape George; Sharon (Jun Watanabe), Fort McMurray ; Joe (Colleen), Fort McMurray; Theresa, Fort McMurray; Shane, Scarborough, ON; and Donalda, Antigonish.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a son, Michael, and sister, Theresa.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday in St. Ninian Cathedral at 11:00am, Reverend Donald MacGillivray presiding. Burial in Glen Bard Cemetery, James River.
