Celia Ann Hawes, 83, 0f Antigonish Harbour, Antigonish Co., passed away on October 3, 2015 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Halifax, she was adopted and raised in Lakevale by the Late Martin and Mary Kate Delaney.

Celia was a Pastry Chef at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish. She had also worked at Crystal Cliffs and The Claymore Inn. She was very proud of her flower gardens and enjoyed knitting. She was also very fond of her dogs.

Celia is survived by her sons, Doug (Shirley), Antigonish Harbour; Paul (Jenny), Grand Prairie, Alberta; grandchildren, Jeremy, Halifax and Emily, B. C.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph and a son, Carmen.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday in the C. L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 am in St. Columba Church, Lakevale with Rev. Evo Di Pierro presiding.. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
