Brown, Luke Kennedy, age 27. It is
with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Luke Kennedy Brown
of Livingstones Cove, Antigonish County, on October 3, 2015 in
Calgary, Alberta.
The son of Wayne and Barbara (Kennedy)
Brown, he was born September 14, 1988 in St. Martha's Hospital,
Antigonish. He graduated from St. F.X. University with a degree in
Human Kinetics in 2011 and was currently attending Southern Alberta
Institute of Technology in Calgary, Luke also lobster fished the past
six years, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He enjoyed sports and was a
team member on three softball teams this year; AGR for the Arisaig
Blues; Antigonish Slo-pitch league for the Anteaters and he also
played Co Ed Slo-pitch with the Big Red Machine. As well, Luke coached
the Outlaws in the Rural Hockey League. He was a member of St.
George's Church, Georgeville.
He is survived by his parents, Wayne
and Barb of Livingstones Cove; his sister Jill, Antigonish; maternal
grandmother, Sadie Kennedy, Glenroy; cousin/friend Jay Brown and
numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Luke was predeceased by his maternal
grandfather Donald Kennedy and his paternal grandparents, John D. and
Mary (Gillis) Brown; Aunt Cathy Caron and Uncle Andy Brown; and cousin
Connor MacDonald.
Luke will be greatly missed by
everyone who knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would
be proud to call son, brother, grandson and friend.
Visitation will be in C.L. Curry
Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Friday, October 9th
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass in St. Andrew's
Church, St. Andrews on Saturday, October 10th, at 11:00
am.
