Wallace, John Allan, 39, of
Antigonish, formerly of New France, passed away on November 4, 2015 at
home.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Marie and Ambrose Wallace
of New France.
John was an outdoors man. He worked for BST Lobsters in
Auld's Cove, harvested blueberries for Blue Rose Farms, and worked in
forestry as well. John always had a smile on his face. He loved
hunting , fishing, and gardening. Family was a very important part of
John's life, especially his daughter Lesley who was his pride and joy.
Above all else, John enjoyed life to its fullest.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his common law wife,
Tammy Currie - Bjornson, daughter Lesley; brothers Billy (Gloria),
Fraser's Grant, Steve (Cathy), Rodney (Judy), all of New France;
sisters Kathy (Gerard Myette); Marlene (Dee Partridge); Joanne(George
D'iochon) all of Antigonish; Debbie (Tom) MacMillan, South River; as
well as several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand
nephews.
John was predeceased by sister Patsy, siblings Ambrose
Charles and Margaret Anne in infancy; paternal grandparents Annie and
Owen Wallace, step-grandmother Bertha (Greencorn) Wallace, maternal
grandparents Margaret and Bill Cunningham and godchild Ambrose Gerard
in infancy.
Visitation will be held Saturday 7-9pm and Sunday 2-4pm and
7-9pm, in the C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday Immaculate Conception Church,
Heatherton at 10:30 am, Reverend Gary MacPherson presiding. Burial in
the parish cemetery.
