With great love in their hearts, the
family of Anne Marie MacDonald announces her passing on the morning of
November 27, 2015. After a courageous show of strength and faith our
loving mother, wife, sister and dear friend to many left this world
peacefully and step danced her way in to heaven. She was a caring
soul, a true mother, always putting others ahead of herself even in
her final days.
A proud Cape Bretoner born and raised, she
enjoyed a warm home full of family, laughter and stories told over a
good cup of tea. Anne Marie loved people. She was a founding member of
the Cape Breton Fiddler’s Assoc. and an active member of the
CWL.
After graduating from Mabou Consolidated
School she went on to work in both Port Hawkesbury and Antigonish law
offices. Followed by years of raising a family, she could be found at
the rink, or at any number of her children’s activities.
Once all her children went off to school, Anne Marie began work at the
Antigonish Justice Center where she retired in 2015.
Anne Marie loved and was loved. As a
family we feel blessed to have been able to share that love with so
many.
The family of Anne Marie would like to
extend appreciation and thanks to the wonderful staff at St.
Martha’s Hospital who cared for Anne Marie especially Dr.
Maureen Allen & the palliative care
team.

Allister, Antigonish; daughters Heather (Ashley), Halifax, Patricia
