Worth, Anne Marie,
45, Truro, formerly of Somers Road,
Antigonish Co., passed away on January 13, 2016 in St. Martha's
Regional Hospital surrounded by family and
friends.
Born in Halifax, she was
a daughter of Charles and Sheila (Pelley)
Worth.
Anne Marie attended Dr.
John Hugh Gillis High School. In later years, she was a resident of
Colchester Small Options Home, Truro where she lived happily for the
past twenty-two years. Staff and residents of the home became her
extended family and best friends. She participated in Special Olympics
and was active in bowling.. She enjoyed her work with the Salvation
Army in Truro, enjoyed going for walks and in particular enjoyed her
daily walk to Tim Hortons to meet up with friends. Anne Marie loved
her family very much and looked forward to their many visits and
dining out.
Besides her parents, she
is survived by brothers and sister: Leonard (Jocelyn), Pictou Co.;
Charlene (Whylie MacPherson); Michael (Katrina); Charles, Jr.
(Jennifer) all of Antigonish; nieces and nephews: Samantha, Kyliegh,
Jordan, Nina, Heidi, Ben, Riley, Cutler, Christian, Nicholas and Kyle,
uncles and aunts, and special uncle, Jack Worth,
Truro.
Predeceased by
grandparents, Charlotte and Clarence Pelley and Roland and Annie
Worth.
Visitation will be in
C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Friday from
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Ninian
Cathedral on Saturday at 11:00 am with Reverend Donald MacGillivray
presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Donations in
