FOUGERE, John Michael, 50,
formerly of Havre Boucher, passed away unexpectedly on January 10,
2016.
John attended
the local community college to become a plumber and moved to Hamilton,
Ont. where he worked for the City Water Department before recently
moving back to Nova Scotia. John always loved the Maritimes
and was such an outdoor person. He especially enjoyed
camping, fishing, golfing, and travelling. He would help anybody and
was always up for anything, but then he really loved an adventure.
John always had a great love of music and always had the stereo on
whether he was in his truck, in the house or in the garage. Growing up
he would often ask his mother "mom, game of
cards?". Perhaps all that training turned him into the
shrewd card player he became. He was a bit of a jokester and
I’m sure his Village buddies could tell quite a few
stories.
He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Teresa Fougere,
Antigonish; brother Wayne (Lucie), Meteghan; sister Nancy Anderson,
Calgary; nephews Sheldon (Tanya) Fougere, Halifax, Jeffrey Anderson,
Calgary, and aunts and uncles Andy and Bonnie Fougere, Hamilton, Alice
and Bert Habinski, Hamilton, Barb Fougere, Hamilton, Pauline Fougere,
Halifax. He will be lovingly missed by all.
Visitation on Thursday, January 21st in St. Paul's Centre,
Havre Boucher from 12:30 until time of Memorial Service in St. Paul's
Church at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of
Nova Scotia or charity of choice would be appreciated. Online
