Boucher, Anthony Francis, 55, of Monastery, Antigonish
County, passed away on January 16, 2016, at home.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Sylvester and
Isabel (Bonvie) Boucher.
A carpenter by trade, Tony believed that "anything worth
doing is worth doing well." Though he was a hard worker, he put
an equal amount of energy into play. With his unique laugh and an
exceptional sense of humour, Tony was always up for a good time with
his family and friends. He loved entertaining guests, cooking, and
travelling - he easily made friends wherever he went, usually over a
glass of red wine. An avid Montreal Canadiens fan, he enjoyed betting
on the Habs with anyone that would take the bait. He was an
exceptional husband, father and Papa; his 'Dad jokes' will be dearly
missed.
He is survived by his wife Madonna (MacEachern),
children, Janelle (Chris) Poirier, Ottawa; Katelyn (Simon
Barton), Ottawa; Tyler (Dustin Fitch), Halifax; Jordan,
Halifax; Bethany, Switzerland; grandchildren, Hudson and Aiden;
siblings, Lloyd, Arichat; Gerald (Kaye), Havre Boucher; Benjamin, East
Tracadie; Russell (Germaine), Havre Boucher; Arthur (Judy), Havre
Boucher; Alphonse (Yan), Lower South River; Ella (Gary) MacInnis,
Yellowknife; and Veronica (Dennis) O'Neil, Yellowknife.
Predeceased by brother, Leonard, and sister-in-law,
Caroline.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be on Friday from
2 to 9pm in St. Peter's Place, Tracadie. Funeral Mass will be held
Saturday in St. Peter's Church at 11:00am, Fr. John Barry
presiding.
