Williams, Orien
Alexander, 90 years, of Antigonish passed away on
January 28, 2016 at home.
Born in
Queensport, Guysborough County he was the son of the late James and
Edna Williams.
He worked as
a welder for the Halifax Shipyards for over
thirty-five years. He was an avid fiddle player and had a great love
of music and cards. He enjoyed watching hockey and baseball and was a
brilliant conversationalist.
He is
survived by brother, Cecil of Oregon and sister-in-law, Bernice
Williams,
Bedford; children: Wayne (Betty) Fraser, Halifax; Judy (Donnie) Avery,
Lawrencetown; Mary (Lawrence) MacEachern, Morristown and Ray Fraser,
Fort McMurray; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews.
He was
predeceased by his wife, Florence (MacLean), brothers, Aubrey and
Atwood and sister, Elizabeth.
Visitation
will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on
Sunday, January 31st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral
service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am in St. Ninian's Cathedral,
Antigonish.
