Sharon Ann (DeCoste) DeLorey
of Tracadie passed away
at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in
Antigonish on Wednesday, April 27,
2016 at the age of 63 with her loving
family and friends by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Antigonish, she was the daughter of
the late Henry and Mary Catherine (DeCoste) DeCoste of Havre
Boucher.
Sharon was one of the pillars of DeCoste Interiors,
Antigonish, working there from its beginning 25 years ago. During her
time there she touched the lives of many, creating memorable
experiences and lifelong friendships. Her kind, caring demeanor along
with her vibrant personality was always sure to make a lasting
impression. Her customers became her friends. Sharon was the epitome
of kindness, grace and love. She adored her three grandsons immensely,
and loved spending time with her family and friends, taking any and
all opportunities to take pictures – one of her many talents
and passions. She will be missed by everyone she encountered.
Sharon is lovingly remembered by her husband James of
43 years, three loving daughters Jaimme-Lynn (Bob) Jennex,
Porter’s Lake; Chataunna-Lee (Mark) Delorey; and Candace
DeLorey, both of Antigonish; and three grandsons Ryley Jennex, Brian
and Tyler Delorey.
She is survived by her siblings Don (Kaye) DeCoste;
Berkley (Elizabeth) DeCoste, Frankville; Carol Sweeny, South River;
Ronnie (Martina) DeCoste, Country Harbour Mines; Beverly (Martin)
Stewart, Havre Boucher; Janet (Mike) Conley, Drumheller AB; Colin
(Angela) DeCoste, Frankville; Shirley (Ernie) DeCoste, Linwood; Dale
(Patricia) DeCoste, Edmonton AB; Brian DeCoste, Antigonish; Glenn
(Laurene) DeCoste, William’s Point; Paul (Connie) DeCoste,
Havre Boucher; sister-in-Law Maureen DeCoste,
Pomquet; and many nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers Xavier, Ignatius, and
Roger; sister-in-laws Shirley Peeples and Eileen Burns.and brother-
in- law Ralph Sweeny,
The visitation will be in C.L.Curry Funeral Home, 135
College Street, Antigonish on Sunday May 1st from 7-9 pm and Monday
May 2nd from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held
at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in
Tracadie on Tuesday May 3rd at 11:00 am
with Father John Barry
officiating.

Centre or the Palliative Care Society at St.
Martha’s Regional Hospital.
