MacDonald, Lucy Christina, age 81, of Greenwold Manor, Antigonish passed away at home on June 30, 2016.

Born in Little Dover, Guysborough County, she was a daughter of the late John W. And Annie (Sampson) Horne.

Lucy worked in Toronto for many years. She returned to Nova Scotia following her retirement in 1989. She enjoyed spending time in the garden and  sewing.  Lucy was very fond of animals.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, Antigonish;  son Byron (Edna), Saint John, N.B.; sister, Cynthia (late Joseph) Smith, Antigonish; and brothers, Ambrose (Ruby), Antigonish, and Pat (Susan), Newfoundland.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Robert, Walter (Buddy), Lewis and Isaac; sisters, Jessie, Rosie and Cleophas.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Friday, July 8th, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Ninian Cathedral on Saturday, July 9th, at 11:00 am with Reverend Joe MacKenzie presiding. Burial in St. Ninian Cemetery.
