Rogers, Eileen, of Scarborough, Ontario passed away peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the age of 65.

Eileen was the beloved wife of Ralph Rogers (formerly of Erinville, Guysborough County) for over 37 wonderful years. She was born in County Cavan, Ireland on April 15, 1951 and was a true Irish Lassie. She truly enjoyed telling, or just listening to stories; had a laugh we all loved to hear, had a twinkle in her eye, and was a friend to all. Eileen loved animals, especially her two precious canine friends, and nature. She especially loved her trips to Erinvile and her many visits with Ralph’s Hanifen family who loved her dearly. Eileen was employed for twenty-five years with the Ontario Provincial Government in office administration, a job she thoroughly enjoyed.

Besides her husband, she is survived by sisters: Angela Smith (Joe), Margaret Cooney, John Cooney and Terrance Cooney of County Cavan, Ireland.  Eileen will be sadly missed by all her family members and many friends.

Visitation at the Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. from 3-5 and 7-9pm on Wednesday, July 13th, 2016.

Visitation in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St. Antigonish, Nova Scotia on Sunday, July 17th, from 6-9pm. Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Catholic Church Salmon River, Guysborough County, on Monday at 11:00 am with Reverend Danny MacLennan presiding. Interment in St. Thomas Parish Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to the ALS Society, would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences: www.clcurry.com.
