McEachern, A. Douglas, age 48 of St. Andrews, Antigonish County passed away suddenly at home on July 31, 2016.

Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Allen McEachern and Barbara Harnish.

Doug was a production manager for Tony's Meats in Antigonish having been employed with them for over twenty-seven years. He was also maintenance man for the MacLeod Group. He was an avid hunter, an antique car enthusiast and enjoyed time with his dogs,. Doug had a strong work ethic from a very young age, He was very proud of his family and took great pride in providing for them. He was a devoted friend who could be relied upon to help out at any time.

He is survived by his wife, the former Pam Gavin, son, Allen (Jeremy Harris), Lower South River; daughter, Tiffany (Tyler Hurshman) McEachern, Lower South River; brothers, John Hall, Lower South River, Blaine McEachern, Dartmouth, Mark Hall, Dartmouth, Billy McEachern, Halifax; sisters: Allanda, Toni and Kim McEachern all of Halifax, Annette Harnish, Alberta and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his step-father, John Hall.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie on Friday at 10:30 am with Reverend John Barry presiding. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Merland.
