Connolly (DeLorey), Theresa Mae - 85, Linwood, Antigonish County, passed away on August 10, 2016, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Linwood, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Leo & Harriet (DeCoste) Pettipas. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Theresa lived her life as a homemaker and stay-at-home mother. She was an avid cook, baker, knitter, and seamstress for her family and the community. She was an avid bingo and card player. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and sharing stories over some tea and sweets. She will always be known for having a smile on her face and a having a huge heart. Theresa was also a member of the Tracadonians Seniors Club.
She will be missed dearly by her children: Clara Green, John (Susan) DeLorey, Gerard (Darlene) DeLorey, Norma (Jackie Boudreau) Green, all of Linwood, and Lynne (Bill) Vasil (Antigonish); son-in-law, Anthony Green, Linwood; step-children: Myles (Liz) Connolly, Guysborough, and Maurice (Elizabeth) Connolly and Patsy (Phil) Cormier, both of Halifax; 12 grandchildren, Rodney, Danny, Stacey, Francine, Gregory, Michael, Brent, Daniel, Craig, Jason, Tara, and Aaron; 5 step-grandchildren: Randy, Craig, Suzanne, Christopher, PJ; 6 great-grandchildren: Keagan, Reef, Jagger, Charlotte, Jack, and Lochlan; godchild, Debbie DeCoste; and many nieces & nephews
She was predeceased by husband, John Joseph DeLorey, 2nd husband Donald Connolly; brothers Marshall, Leonard, James (Curley); sister Eva; son-in-law Tom Green; step-son Donald Connolly, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 to 9pm in St. Peter's Place, Tracadie. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10:30am in St. Peter Church, Tracadie, Fr. John Barry presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
