Delorey, Joseph Bernard "Buddy", 81, of Tracadie passed away in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish, on August 16, 2016, with his loving sister, Nancy, at his side.
 
Born and raised in Tracadie, he was a son of the late Joseph Columba and Annie Jane (Pettipas) Delorey.
 
Buddy lived his whole life in Tracadie and was well-known in the community and surrounding areas, making many friends over the years and always helping anyone in need.   Buddy had a tremendous love for his nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart.  At a young age, Buddy developed Polio and was unable to go to school or work outside the home.   Buddy spent most of his days taking care of his elderly parents up until their passing and took great pride in keeping his family home in immaculate shape.
 
He is survived by siblings, Stanley, Sherbooke, NS; Mary Gaudreau, Quebec; Emma Fraser, Tracadie; George (Rita) Delorey, ; Lillian Brister, Mattie Settlement; Kathleen (Peter) Schmitz, Toronto; John Delorey, Antigonish; James (Florence) Delorey, Trenton; Isabelle Burns, Tracadie; Nancy (Romeo) DiStefano, Tracadie/Ontario; sister-in-law, Theresa Delorey, St. Andrews.
 
Predeceased by brother, William; twin sisters in infancy; brothers-in-law Earl Fraser, Pat Gaudreau, Charles Brister, Archie Burns; and sisters-in-law, Viola Delorey and Yvette Delorey.
 
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in St. Peter's Place, Tracadie.  Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 10:00am in St. Peter's Church, with Fr. John Barry and Fr. P.J. Baccardax presiding.  Burial in the parish cemetery.
