Fitzgerald, James F.X., 82, of Linwood passed away on September 28, 2016, in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish.

Born in Linwood, he was a son of the late Joseph and Annie Clotilda "Katie" Fitzgerald.

Jimmy worked as a telegraph operator for Canadian National Railway for over 30 years. He had been a member of the Holy Name Society and the Amateur Radio Club. His hobbies included trains, cars, gardening, photography, and going to the dances.

Jimmy is survived by a brother-in-law, Leo Landry, and predeceased by his sister, Emma Landry.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4pm in St. Peter's Place, Tracadie. Funeral Mass Monday at 2:00pm in St. Peter's Church, Fr. John Barry presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
