MacDonald, Hugh Angus, 48 of Glen Road, Antigonish County,
passed away on September 28, 2016, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital,
Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late John and
Pauletta (DeCoste) MacDonald.
Hughie was an auto mechanic, having had his own business,
Hugh's Tires, in Antigonish. He was an avid member of the Antigonish
Kinsmen Club, having served a term as president.
He is survived by his wife, the former Elaina McLeod;
children, Catherine (Chay), Halifax; Katalyn (Matthew), Thorburn;
Jocelyn (Mark), Toronto; Maggie, "the light of his eye", at
home; grandson, Mattias; siblings, Donna (Stan), Cole Harbour; Derek,
Antigonish; Leo (Carol), Pomquet; Kevin (Carmen), Boylston; Allan,
Afton; Ronnie, Dartmouth; Paula (Bill), North Grant; Darrel (Kim),
Fairmont; Susan (James), Thorold, ON; and Mary Ellen (Jeff),
Middleton.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother,
Bruce.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in
C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral Mass
will be held Monday at 11:00am in St. Ninian Cathedral, Reverend
Donald MacGillivray presiding.
