passed away suddenly in St Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish on October 8, 2016

Later in life she moved to Sudbury where she met and married our father, Bernard DeYoung. When her first child was 10 months old they moved to Pomquet, NS and had 5 more children. In her later years she was employed by Pomquet Pantry until retirement. After our Dad passed away she took in and looked after her Mom. She loved bingo, yard sales, tending to her flowers, her ‘stories’ and her little dog Benji. She loved to tell stories about growing up as a fisherman’s daughter in Port Bickerton and as kids we heard many ghost stories about living in a remote fishing village in the 40’s and 50’s.
