Hodder, Donald Joseph It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our loving husband, father and poppa, Donald Joseph Hodder of St. Andrews, on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the age of 69 at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Don was a son of the late Lewis and Margaret (MacDonald) Hodder. Born in Montreal and raised in Toronto, Don moved to Antigonish at age 18 to attend St. Francis Xavier University. Don will be fondly remembered for his woodworking skills, gardening, love for Christmas, hosting family get-togethers, barbequing, coaching hockey and his community involvement. He was passionate about landscaping, family traditions and music.

Don is survived by his wife Beth (Ferguson) and children Kyle (Angie), Melissa, Derek (Nancy), Garett (Melanie), Elsa (Bert) Claeys; grandchildren Landon, Aria and Ruby Hodder and Luka Claeys and brother, Ken. He was predeceased by his brother, Wally.

Special thanks to Dr. Ron MacCormick and the oncology team and staff at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital for your exceptional care. As well, a thank you to family and friends for their support.

Visitation will be held from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, Wednesday, December 7 in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 8 at 11am at St. Andrews Catholic Church. Donations may be made to St. Martha’s Foundation and Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society (PO Box 8561, Halifax, NS B3K 5M3 or craigscause.ca). Online condolences: www.clcurry.com
