Deon, Joseph Anthony "Toetin", age 95, of Pomquet, Antigonish County passed away on December 23, 2016 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born on September 21, 1921 he was the son of the late Dennis and Alvena (Boudreau) Deon.
Toetin was a very kind and gentle soul who worked hard and looked after many families in his parish.
He was the last surviving member of his family, but survived by his caregivers Simon and Patsy Doiron with whom he lived the past number of years.
He was predeceased by brothers, Simon and John; step brothers, James and William.
Visitation will be in Ste. Croix Church, Pomquet on Monday, December 26th from 9:00 am until tine of funeral at 11:00 am. Burial in Ste. Croix Cemetery.
