Gillis, Joseph T. "Joey", 58,
of Cross Roads Ohio, Antigonish Co. Died on January 2,
2017.
Born in Antigonish he was a son of
the late Hugh Duncan and Anne (MacDonell) Gillis.
Joey’s passions were
farming and animals. Those who knew him would not be surprised to hear
about "secret" new dogs and other animals brought home to
add to his farm. His pride and joy were his children, grandchildren
and his caring wife of 29 years. He was an avid storyteller,
known for his unmatched humour and tall tales, who loved to make
people laugh and feel good. His favourite topic of conversation was
his grandchildren and his cows. He loved to snowmobile and to fish,
especially when he always seemed to be the only one catching all of
the fish. He will be dearly missed by all the people that knew and
loved him.
Survived by his wife Anne

Giselle (Val) LaBrash, Antigonish; Lance, Calgary; Annie (Alexander
