Bouchard, Mary Elizabeth, age
54, of Heatherton, Antigonish Co., passed away both suddenly and
unexpectedly at the Halifax Infirmary on January 3, 2017 after a very
courageous fight.
Born in Antigonish, she was the daughter of Gladys (Myette)
and the late Louis Joseph Benoit.
Mary was a dedicated stay at home mother who held her
daughters at the centre of her universe. She held many fond memories
of working alongside her father at the Pomquet Co-op for many years.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her best
friend Linda, and her soulmate/furbaby Buffy. If ever you were looking
for her, you could find her at home in "her" chair with
Buffy and Cat, doing her beloved crossword puzzles and scribbling down
new recipes.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her loving husband
Rick, daughters: Caitlin, Ottawa; Danielle, Heatherton, Brothers: Jim
(Linda), Pomquet; Charlie (Pat), Pomquet; Eugene (Angela), Antigonish;
Joey (Jennifer), Pomquet, Sisters: Anita Tulk (late Bill), Antigonish;
Helen (Bill), New Glasgow; Sherry (James), New Glasgow; along with
many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brother Eugene and infant sister
Mary.
Visitation will be held 7-9 on Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 on
Sunday in C.L.Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonsh. Funeral
Mass will be held on Monday at 10:30 am in Ste. Croix Church, Pomquet.
Burial at a later date.
