Desmond,
Brenda Mae, age 52, of Lincolnville, Guysborough
County, grew her wings gracefully on January 3,
2017.
Born in Guysborough, Brenda was a daughter of Wilfred and
Ardella (Ash) Desmond of Lincolnville.
Brenda was an avid bingo player making friends wherever she
played. Well known for her smile, laughter, humour, and strong love
for everyone with whom she crossed paths.
Besides her parents, survived by daughters, Diane and Katlin
of Halifax; twin girls, Cassandra and Chantel (John) of Antigonish;
grandchildren, Noah, Aria, Delilah, Alexis, and Jayden; siblings: twin
sister and best friend Linda, at home; Sandra (Kenneth Greencorn),
Margaret, Lincolnville; Charlotte (Michael), Pickering, ON; Mary
(Patrick), Toronto; Veronica (David), Halifax; Francis, Marjorie,
Bernard, Alfred, Allan (Terry), Brenda Jones, James, Austin (Tracey),
and Tony, all of London, ON. James, David (Donna)and Robert all of
Toronto; Fraser (Delfina), Brampton, ON; George (Dawn), Afton; Diamond
(Dylan), Halifax; honorary sisters, Shelly MacLean, Truro and Jenny
Douglas, Toronto.
Predeceased by her son, Lionel; granddaughter, Aaliyah;
daughter-in-law, Shanna; brothers Gordon and Henry and a brother in
infancy.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in
Monsignor Donnelly Hall, Tracadie. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday
at 11am in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie, Fr. John Barry presiding.
Burial in St. Monica's Cemetery, Lincolnville, at a later
date.
