MacEachern, Isabel
"Nanny", age 97 of Cape George passed away
Friday Jan. 6, 2017 peacefully with family at her side at the R.K.
MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish.
Isabel was born in Mulgrave in 1919
to the late Thomas and Marcella Moore. Nanny was very artistic,
especially with oil and water color painting. She also enjoyed
knitting, crocheting, sewing and baking.
She is survived by four sons:
Douglas (Margaret), Edmonton AB; Joseph (Doris), Cape George; Paul
(Claire), Cape George; Gregory (Elaine) Malignant Cove; four
daughters: Gail, Cape George; Heather (Gord MacNeil), Ottawa; Susan,
Antigonish; Mary Alice (Francis MacKinnon), Antigonish; one sister
Cecilia "Sparkie" Bouchie, R.K. Nursing Home; one sister in
law Mary M. MacEachern of Cape George; son in law, Harold Delaney,
Springhill. 24 grandchildren and 21 great
grandchildren.
Isabel was predeceased by her
husband James Morrison MacEachern in 1979; daughter Connie Delaney,
grandson, James McKenna; sisters: Hortense Hadley, Mildred Moore,
Alice Moore, Grace Tramble and brother Joseph Moore.
Visitation will be in C.L. Curry
Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Monday from 2 to 4,
and 7 to 9. Funeral Mass will be at Holy Rosary Church, Ballantynes
Cove at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 10th with
Father Evo DiPierro officating. Burial in parish cemetery. Family
flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Rosary Altar
