Broussard, Theresa E., age 85, of Pomquet passed away on January 22, 2017, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Pomquet, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Annie Jane (Venedam) Benoit.

Theresa loved to cook in her earlier years. She enjoyed playing cards, having her friends and family visit, and working on jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her sons, John, Antigonish; Joe (Russell) and Ronnie (Joanie) of Pomquet; grandchildren, Jaren and Ranelle MacMaster and Adrianna and Katie Broussard; and brother, Freddie, Sherbrooke.

Predeceased by her husband, John Leo; daughter Ann MacMaster; son, Michael; sisters, Margaret, Catherine, and Angie; four sisters in infancy; brothers, Charlie, Andrew, Joseph, Timothy, William, Clifford, Theodore, and Francis.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass will be held in Ste. Croix Church on Thursday at 10:30 am with Reverend Daniel MacDonald and Deacon Art Riley presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery in the spring.
