It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth "Grant" Isenor, age 75, from Sackville, New Brunswick, formerly of Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Grant was born in Lantz on March 21, 1941 and died on February 3 in George Dumont Hospital, Moncton. He was a diehard Montreal Canadiens and New York Yankees fan, which was evident by his collection of memorabilia. A very hard worker, he was a proud employee of Michelin Tire for over 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, cooking, puzzles, wine making, gardening, and taking in nature. Dad had a very artistic side that was known to few including drawing, woodworking, and comedic poetry. Grant spent many early mornings at the rink with his children, whom he ultimately lived for. Aside from his love and passion for hockey, he was an avid baseball player who was recruited to play professionally at a young age but declined the offer. Known as "JJ" by his family and ball teammates, and "Bumpy" (coined by his first three grandchildren Shawn, Matthew and Emily), Grant was always smiling and never complained.

He is survived by his three sons; John (Michelle), Antigonish; Mark, Truro; and Peter (Amanda), Debert; and his three girls, for whom he held a special place in his heart ; Leah Duggan (Pat), Antigonish; Karen, Sackville, NB; and Heather, Halifax. Siblings; Harold "Hank", Elmsdale; Cleve (Linda), Dutch Settlement; David (Beverly), Elmsdale; Juliette (Dale), Sheffield Mills; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He will be missed dearly by his canine companion, Philly.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, who raised him, John and Mabel Blois, parents Marshall and Dorothy (Blois) Isenor ; brothers Allie and Harry; Sister, Roberta MacPhee; Half brother, Albert Moore; and Sister-in-law, Linda Isenor.

As per Grant’s request, there will be "no visitation, no funeral mass, and no flowers." Please join us to celebrate his life and have a toast at the Antigonish Legion, Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

We have no doubt Dad is sitting and watching a ball or hockey game, shelling peanuts and drinking Coors Light. Cherry Bims Pops!  Online condolences: www.clcurry.com.
