Green, Francis "Frank" Eugene, age 73, of Heatherton passed away on March 4, 2017, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Grosvenor, he was a son of the late John Bernard and Daisy Pearl (Isnor) Green.
A consummate gentleman, Frank was known for his sense of humour and welcoming nature. He loved woodworking and working with his hands, family gatherings, children, scratch tickets, and a double-double from Tim’s. Frank was a big part of the Heatherton Community and enjoyed music, especially Celtic and country.
He is survived by sisters, Theresa MacIntosh, Glen Air Estates; Mary (Neil) Mattie, Linwood; Christina (Paul) Guthro, Mattie Settlement; brothers, Bernie (Ivy Garvie), Antigonish; Steve (Rosena), Antigonish; Anthony, Linwood; Eddie (Marie), Port Hawkesbury, several nieces and nephews, and staff and residents of Heatherton Group Home.
Predeceased by brothers, Herbie, Tom, Joe, and Jim; and sister, Florence.
Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Tuesday, March 7th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton, on Wednesday at 1:00 pm with Reverend Gary MacPherson presiding. Burial in Grosvenor Cemetery at a later date.
