Delorey, Roberta Margaret, 88, of Tracadie, passed away suddenly March 26, 2017 at home.

Born on January 26, 1929 in East Tracadie, she was one of 13 children born to the late Ella Evangeline (Pettipas) and Joseph Arthur Bonvie.

Roberta and Russell were married for 35 years until Russell's passing in 1983.  She was a stay at home housewife and devoted mother to 8 children.  Roberta started working during the summers at Carpin’s Cabins before starting full time at the Claymore Inn where she was the head of housekeeping for over 40 years. She enjoyed the company of her coworkers and loved and took pride in her work. She looked forward to family and friends stopping in for a cup of tea and sweet snack.  Roberta enjoyed spending time in her garden and will also be remembered for her love of knitting, baking, and attending card plays.

She is cherished by her close-knit family, children, Donna Marie Chisholm, Scarborough, Ontario; Ralph Edwin, Halifax;  Karen Ann (the late Conrad Burke), Bailey’s Brook; Raymond Paul, Prince George, British Columbia; Brenda Lee (James MacDonald), Pleasant Valley; Richard Eldon (Geraldine Haverkort), St. Joseph’s; and Russell Dale John, Upper Springfield; grandchildren: Chris, Robin, Megan, Mason, Rene, Erin, Jillian, Chad, Devin, Cora, Holly, Hannah, Russell, David, Melanie, Serge, Catherine, Jake, and Logan;  19 great grandchildren;  sister, Ethel (late Seward) Landry, West Arm Tracadie;  sister-in-law Rita Delorey, Tracadie; and son-in-law Theodore Ehler.

Besides her husband Russell, she was predeceased by daughter Margaret Lorraine; siblings Matilda, Alphonse, Rita, Veronica, Martha, Bernard, Isabel, Kay, Ray, Jerry, and Hubert; Son-in-law Terrance Ehler.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm in St. Peter’s Place, Tracadie.  Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 11:00am in St. Peter’s Church, Reverend John Barry presiding.  Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date.
