Benoit, Alfred Raymond "Freddie", 77 of Pomquet, Antigonish Co., passed away peacefully on May 24, 2017 in High Crest Nursing Home, Sherbrooke, NS.

Born in Pomquet he was a son of the late Frank and Annie Jane (Venedam) Benoit.

Freddie lived all his life in Pomquet until sickness took him to the nursing home. He enjoyed listening to his country music and taking his daily drives with this brother Charlie. He never received a speeding ticket for being in a rush.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by brothers, Charlie, Andrew, Joseph, Timothy, William, Clifford, Theodore, and Francis; sisters, Margaret, Catherine, Angie, and Theresa; four sisters in infancy.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 7-9pm in C.L.Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish. Funeral mass on Monday 11:00am in Ste. Croix Church, Pomquet, Reverend Gary MacPherson presiding.
