D’Eon, Shane Edward.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Shane Edward
D’Eon , 45 of Toronto and formerly of Pomquet, Antigonish
County passed away after a brief battle with Cancer.
Born in Antigonish he was a son of the late John and Sheila
(Kavanagh) D’Eon.
Shane grew up in Pomquet and enjoyed playing ball, hockey,
and had a passion for all sports. For the last 20 years Toronto was
his home, where he worked in fire prevention as a sprinkler fitter and
was a member of a darts league. He was a fun loving guy who always had
a smile on his face and loved muisic He enjoyed his trips home to Nova
Scotia to visit family and friends, especially his nieces and nephew,
and loved a good feed of lobster.
He is survived by the love of his life Shanon Cassels,
Toronto; brother Keir, Fox Creek, Alberta, sister Kendra (PJ
Richards), Pomquet; nephew Huntley Richards and nieces Heidi and
Hailey Richards, whom he adored; as well as many aunts uncles,
cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm in
C.L.Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass will
be Monday at 11:00am in Ste. Croix Church, Reverend Andrew Gillies
presiding. Burial at a later date.
