Egbert, William A. "Skip", 49, formerly of Cross Roads Ohio, Antigonish County, passed away peacefully in his home in Penticton, BC, on August 26, 2017.
Skip worked for Bolt Security Systems for a number of years. He was a quiet, kind, reserved, and gentle man, and the world’s biggest procrastinator. He enjoyed all sports and was a huge Green Bay Packers fan. He was an avid skier, loved the outdoors, and his eyes always lit up when he went to the beach. Skip was also a drummer and a huge Iron Maiden fan.
He is survived by his parents, William A. (Kathy) Egbert, South Carolina, and Shirlee (Hugh) MacDonald, Maryvale; sisters, Allyson Egbert, Antigonish; Kim (Troy) MacLean, Frankville; brother, Scott Egbert, Bohemia, NY; cousins, Daryl, Karen, Rick, Stephanie, and Brian; nieces, Ashley, Kirsten Lee, Brooke, and Savanna; great-nephews, Cavien and Charlie; step-siblings, Michael, Allan, and Louise MacDonald, Mary Jo Jessome, and Juanita MacGillivary.
Predeceased by step-brother, Wayde MacDonald.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 8th, after 9:30am in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish, with funeral service to follow in the funeral home at 10:30am, Reverend Andrew Boyd presiding. Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Maryvale.
