Bowles, William Joseph "Willie Joe", 71, of Caledonia Mills passed away on January 25, 2018.

Born in Antigonish on April 9, 1946, he was a son of the late Colin Francis and Christina Catherine (Chisholm) Bowles.

Willie Joe worked with the Department of Transportation for many years, and for most of his life, he had a small farm as well. Willie Joe enjoyed the simple things in life, such as a good meal, a cup of tea, and spending time at the lake.

He is survived by his sister, Margaret (Pat) MacNeil, Caledonia Mills and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sisters, Helen Cunningham, Isabel Worth, and Loretta MacDonald; brothers, John James "Jackie" and Colin A.; twin brother, Anthony, in infancy; another brother in infancy; nephew, Paul; and his longtime partner, Barb Morin.

Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11:00am in St. Andrew's Church, St. Andrews, Reverend Andrew Gillies presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery in the spring.
