Foster, Josephine, 77, of Antigonish passed away on February
7, 2018, in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home,
Antigonish.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and
Sybil (Elliot) Pottie.
Josephine and her husband, Ebb, moved to Antigonish with
their children in the 70s. His passing in 2004 left a
terrible void in her life, and the resulting loneliness would lead her
into dementia. It was then that she moved to the R.K., where
her family and ours was extended to include many wonderful caregivers,
staff, and residents.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Debby
(Francis) MacDonald, Heatherton; Edward (Felicia), Beaverbank; and
Steven (Ruth), Pleasant Valley; 10 grandchildren, Frankie, Tara,
Peter, Alicia, Scott, Jessie, Amanda, Gina, Michael, and Matthew and
their spouses; 14 great-grandchildren, Mia, Taylor, Laine, Aiden,
Samantha, Ava, Aliah, Teagan, Zoe, Emmet, Lily, Emma, Maci, and
Tristan; sister, Lorraine Holt, Halifax; Diann (Wayne) Sampson,
Halifax; Sybil (Alan) Evong, Porter’s Lake; sister-in-law,
Norma Pottie; and brothers, Ronald, David, and Tom Pottie, all of
Halifax; and many much-loved nieces and nephews.
As she loved us, we loved her with all our
hearts.
Predeceased by her husband, Edward "Ebb"; sisters,
Shirley Murphy, Joan Sawlor, and Gloria Pottie; and her twin brother
Joseph.
Cremation has taken place, and a private service and burial
will take place on a lovely spring day.
In Memoriam, donations to the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home
Foundation appreciated.
