Boudreau, Grace Allena Emma, 85, of East Tracadie, Antigonish County, passed away on February 10, 2018, in Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home with family by her side.

Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Elliot Carey and Laura Cassie (MacLellan) Anderson.

Grace was a provider. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, bringing much food to the table. She also taught the importance of values and family. She loved a good joke, a game of cards, and a chat over tea.

She is survived by her children, Bruce Anderson (Bibby), Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; Judy Kontuk (Gerry Andrews), Guysborough; Sharon Benoit (Albert Boudreau), East Tracadie; Twila Gorman (Edward), East Tracadie; Gloria Boudreau (Donald Fillmore), Monastery; Vernon Boudreau (Theresa), Barrio’s Beach; Adele Bennett (Clifford), Barrio’s Beach; Millie Pelrine (Bill Stewart), East Tracadie; grandchildren, Patricia Anderson-London, Calgary; Laura Anderson, Saint John, NB; Bradley Kontuk, New Glasgow; Fred Kontuk, East Tracadie; Nicholas Benoit, Grande Prairie, AB; Shara Gorman-Stewart, Middleton; Melissa Gorman, Victoria, BC; Samantha, Graham, and Quentin Fillmore, Monastery; Elliott Fillmore, Bedford; Peter Boudreau, Grand River, PEI; Katlyn Boudreau, Barrio’s Beach; Autumn, Maeve, and Xavier Bennett, Barrio’s Beach; Brittany Pelrine, Canso; Rebecca Pelrine, East Tracadie; and 11 great grandchildren; brother, Elward Anderson, Avondale; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Anderson, French River.

 

Predeceased by her husband, Edgar; and son-in-law, Wilfred Benoit; sister, Mildred MacDonald; brothers, Lester and Henry.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 2:00pm in Sutherland’s River Presbyterian Church, Reverend Greg Dickson presiding. Burial in Telford Cemetery in the spring.
