MacGillivary, Helena Viola,
78, of Antigonish passed away on June 4, 2018, in the
R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish.
Born
in Erinville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Worth)
Kelly.
Helena was the main pillar in our family, the go
to person, the person who always was there listening to us whether it
was a bad joke or a trying time, the woman that loved and was loved by
all who met her, the woman that helped anyone with anything any way
she could has moved up with the angels. She is being greeted by all
her loved ones she so dearly missed.
Helena is survived by daughters, Marlene (Jim)
O’Brien, Michelle MacGillivary (David), and Marina (Jim)
Green, all of Antigonish; 12 grandchildren, Melissa Ebbett, Katrina
(Michael) Worth, Michael (Jesse) McCarthy, Sarah Pottie (Murray),
Renee (Brian) MacIlwain, Chris MacGillivary (Katrina), Stephen Green
(Megan), Kaylin Green, Keagen Green, Robyn MacGillivary, Kayla
MacGillivary, Andrew MacGillivary; several great and great-great
grandchildren; and many nieces and
nephews.
Predeceased by
daughter, Wanda Lee; sons, Stephen and Michael; fiancé,
Frank; and husband, Hugh. She was the last surviving member of her
large family of brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Thursday and Friday from
2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street,
Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday in St. Ninian Cathedral
at 1:00 pm, Reverend Donald MacGillivray presiding.
