Cogger, Margaret Ann, age 92 of South River Road, Antigonish passed away on June 14, 2018 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late John Alex and Christina (MacLean) MacKenzie.

Margaret was a wonderful cook and took great pleasure in seeing that everyone was well fed. She worked as a short order cook at the Barra One Restaurant and in the priests dining room at St. F.X. University. She had many friends and loved a good game of cards.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan (Cogger) Benoit, Antigonish; grandchildren: Dwayne (Connie) Cogger, Lori (Kenneth) Boudreau and Kurt (Kassie) Benoit; great grandchildren, Kyle and Colton Boudreau; brother, Raymond MacKenzie, Antigonish and sister, Dorothy MacKenzie, P.E.I.

She was predeceased by her husband, William John; daughter, Carolyn DeCoste; sisters, Mary and Josie and brothers: Billy, Johnny, Ralph and Gordie.

Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on

Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be in St. Ninian Cathedral on Monday at 11:00 am with Reverend Donald MacGillivray presiding. Burial in St. Ninian Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Antigonish Food Bank. Online condolences: www.clcurry.com
