DeCoste, Ronald Anthony, "Bubba", age 72 of Monastery, Antigonish Co. died suddenly on April 24th at his home after a lengthy illness.

Born in Monastery he was a son of the late Edward and Martha (Bowie) DeCoste.

A hard working man, he worked as a forklift driver for nearly 50 years in the greater Toronto area, most notably at Ayer Storage/Associated Freezers for 30 years. He retired in 2013 and moved back home after 32 years in Brampton Ontario. He loved going out visiting friends and family. He was quite the character who loved to make people of all ages laugh. He had the knack of giving "nick names" to those he met up with. He loved listening to the oldies music, as well as country and western. He was a car buff, and loved going to car shows and cruise nights in one of his 3 GMC pick-ups. He also loved his son as well as his grand kids.

He is survived by son Ronnie Jr. (Lisa), Niagara Ont., special grandchildren, Brooke and Dryden, as well as long time companion and friend Lorelle; sisters: Shirley (William) Boudreau; Lila Beshong; Florence (Clifford) Boudreau; Barbara (Roy) Perry, Muriel (Kenneth) Gorman and Theresa DeCoste; brothers: Lloyd (Shirley); Eddie (Margaret); Gerald; Eugene (Eleanor); brothers-in-law, Wilson Perry and Sam Simard, Aunt Bessie Fougere.

Predeceased by brothers: Vincent and Ralph; sisters: Stella Murray, Gladys Perry, and Gloria DeCoste, sisters-in-law: Edith and Marilyn DeCoste and brothers-in-law John Beshong and Don Murray.

Visitation Thursday, May 2nd, 2-4 and 7-9 pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home 135 College St., Antigonish.
