It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Bernard "Bernie" Laughlin MacPherson, 46, on June 5, 2019
Born on May 19, 1973, Bernie was the adored son of Cynthia "Cindy" (MacLean) and John MacPherson. He graduated from Dr. J.H. Gillis School in 1992, owned and operated the OutBack Car Wash, Antigonish, and moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta where he was a heavy equipment operator for the past years.
He is survived by his sons, Austin and Colby, Antigonish, Melissa, the mother of his sons, special friend Jodi Walton, and Camden, sister Chevaunne (Jay Pierre), nieces Jade and Taylor, Calgary, grandparents Betty and Bernard MacLean, Antigonish, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved and adored him. Predeceased by his paternal grandparents Marie (Olde Bolhaar) and Lauchie MacPherson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 11th, from 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM at C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 12th, at 11AM in St. Ninian’s Cathedral. Reverend Lazarus Garia officiating.
