It is with saddened and broken hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved son, and brother Trevor Gerard MacKay, 32 of Saltsprings, Antigonish County, which occurred on June 28, 2019 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Trevor was a free spirit and lived every day to the fullest. He loved playing hockey, four wheeling, snowmobiling, mountain biking, playing cards and shooting pool. Trevor recently moved back to Nova Scotia after working in Yellowknife as an Electrician.  He was a member of IBEW #625.  He was an avid Boston Bruins fan and was proud to be a Heatherton Warrior. There was no slowing Trevor down. He lived life at a fast pace from the time he was born until the time he left us. Trevor gifted us a lifetime of memories and stories we will always cherish. He will never be forgotten by his many friends and loved ones.

Trevor is survived by his loving parents, Gerard and Debbie (Druhan) MacKay; younger brother Justin; grandmothers, Sally MacKay and Ann Theriault; grandfather, Leonard Druhan; aunts and uncles, Allan (Karen) MacKay; Sherry MacKay (Vincent); Mary Leigh MacIntyre (Rod); Gerard (Ginny) Druhan; Sharon (Bruce) Patzer; Ken (Jackie) Druhan; Derek Druhan (Candace); cousins, Melanie MacKay (Jake); Katlyn MacKay (Colin); Dylan MacIntyre; Kayleigh MacIntyre; Rachel Patzer; Mark Patzer; Gavin Druhan; Gillian Druhan and Harrison Druhan.

Trevor was predeceased by grandfather, Cecil MacKay; aunt, Ruth Anne MacGillivray; uncle, Ronnie MacGillivray and uncle, John Anthony MacKay in infancy.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish.  Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 11:00am in St. George’s Church, Georgeville with Reverend Andrew Boyd presiding.  Burial in the parish cemetery.
