Bernard, Gregory Tyler, age 35, of Paqtnkek Mi’kmaw Nation and Shubenacadie Mi’kmaw Nation passed away suddenly on July 31, 2019.

Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Roger Sark and Nancy Ann Bernard.

Greg was a loving, caring man with a very big heart. He always put his family and friends before everyone. He was a fishing captain. Fishing was his pride and joy and a big part of his life. In his spare time he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball, hunting, and working out at the gym with his friends. He loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews, and family was his number one priority. Greg was a great father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend and he was just an all around great guy.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie-Jo Bernard; daughter, Morgan Peter-Paul; siblings: Janine, Jordan, Whitney, Kandace, Olivia, Jake, Kamryn, Michael; Godchildren: Ainslee, Hayven, Kenzlie, Drew and Khloe; paternal grandparent, Mary Ann and Jim Sark; stepmother, Deanna Sark; Godparents, Mary Paul and Ronnie Gould; and a large extended family in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island

He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Caroline and Walter Bernard; nephew, Rylan McDonald and cousin, Ozzy Clair.

Visitation will begin Saturday at 5:00 pm at 124 Petow Loop, Paqtnkek Mi’kmaw Nation. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton. Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Summerside Road,with meal and Salite to follow at the Paqtnkek Community Centre.
