It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our
father, grandfather, brother, and uncle Leonard Joseph Druhan, 83 of
Antigonish who passed away on Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 in St.
Martha's Regional Hospital after a brief
illness.
Lenny was born on December 22, 1935 in Ohio, Antigonish
County, the son of the late Aubrey and Catherine (Chisholm)
Druhan.
He was a lifelong painter and was well-known in the
community, and he was a dedicated volunteer at the R.K. MacDonald
Nursing Home. He was a proud and loving father and
grandfather and enjoyed fishing and hunting until recently.
Lenny is survived by his children, Debbie (Gerard) MacKay,
Saltsprings; Gerard (Ginny), Dartmouth; Sharon (Bruce) Patzer,
Chestermere, AB; Ken (Jackie), Lantz; Derek (Candace MacKenzie),
Antigonish; their mother, Ann Theriault and his
grandchildren, Justin, Rachel, Mark, Gavin, Gillian, and
Harrison. He will be terribly missed by his siblings Mary
Carroll, Georgina Cameron, Jean (Doug) Cameron, Margie (Placide)
Cameron, Sandy (Diane), Ann (Jimmy) Delorey, Aubrey, and Marion
(Frank) Delorey.
He was predeceased by his grandson; Trevor MacKay, and
brother, Benny.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation as
requested. Funeral Mass will be held Monday in St. Ninian
Cathedral at 11:00am, Reverend Donald MacGillivray
presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.

choice.
