It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden death of Tony LeBlanc, 71, of Tracadie, Antigonish County.

Born in Dartmouth, he was a son of the late George and May (Dort) LeBlanc.

Tony was an ironworker, working for many years as a member of Ironworkers Local 736 in Ontario and Local 752 in Nova Scotia. He was passionate about his work and took great pride in his job up until the time of his retirement. Tony was known as a "jack-of-all-trades" and could turn his hand to anything. Family was very important to Tony. He cared deeply for both his immediate and extended family, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Tony truly enjoyed the company of friends, music, and a good laugh. It gave Tony great happiness to lend a hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Theresa (Brow); daughter, Rachael (Charlie), Antigonish; grandchildren Julissa and Jaden; sister, Linda (Larry) Wood, Aulds Cove; brothers Robbie, Antigonish, and Ralph (Hazel) Dort, Kelowna, BC; sister-in-law, Debbie LeBlanc, Antigonish; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Robert Anthony, in infancy; brother, Larry, and nephew, Larry, Jr.

Visitation will be held Sunday in St. Peter’s Place, Tracadie, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 2:00pm in St. Peter’s Church, Fr. John Barry presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.

In Memoriam, donations to St. Peter’s Cemetery Fund or St. Peter’s Parish CWL appreciated.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish. Online condolences: www.clcurry.com.
