It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John
"Junior" Arthur Boudreau. He was born in Antigonish in 1941
the son of the late Emmett Boudreau and Cecelia (Keefe)
Boudreau.
We will remember him for his love, generosity, intelligence,
creativeness, strength, courage, and grandpa pranks. Family was very
important to John, he was always happiest while surrounded by loved
ones. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and
grandchildren and always looked forward to their visits. John spent
his evenings playing cards at St. Andrews, Club 60, and Arts Building
with his wife and friends. He had a tremendous work ethic, a true jack
of all trades, and always helped his neighbors and strangers when he
could. He worked extremely hard for those he loved and asked for
little in return. When he wasn’t with family or friends,
John took great pride in creating and building miniature dories,
lobster traps and lighthouses, which were created as an expression of
his heritage and he leaves as a legacy with his grandchildren. He
enjoyed spending most of his time outdoors, nurturing his flowers,
vegetables, and birds. He was a devout Catholic who lived
true to his faith. Although we will miss his smile and his love, we
find comfort in his fondest memories.
He is survived by his beloved soulmate of 57 years Margaret
"Peggy" (Dort) and children Albert Boudreau, Robert Boudreau
(Maria Norris), Michelle Boudreau, Kimberley Grant (Keith), and
grandchildren Jeffrey, Laura, Devin, Leah, Joshua, Molly, Rachel, his
sister Margaret "Peggy" Haines (Ronnie).
He was predeceased by his brother, Chester
Boudreau.
