It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce the sudden
death of the wonderful Eva Marie Sampson.
Born in Montreal, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and
Helen (Pelley) Sampson.
Eva was a strong, generous, caring, and loving person who
would go out of her way to help friends or family. She loved
spending time watching her Montreal Canadiens, Days of Our Lives, and
anything good that was on TV, as long as she had a hot
coffee. Eva spent most of her life in Montreal, making
life-long friends with Darlene, George, Susie, Rene, and Pat and many
more. She also made many good friends during her time at
Canada Post. Recently, after spending another eight years in
Montreal, Eva and her daughter moved home in June of 2019 to be with
her Mom, whom she loved dearly.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Channelle; sister,
Gail (Jimmy) George, and brother, Jahnyia Sampson, both of Antigonish;
and godchild, Latitia, along with Cassandra, Melda, and the rest of
her extended family; all her friends in both Nova Scotia and Quebec;
and her two fur-babies, Gypsi and Lexie.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her paternal and
maternal grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and
cousins.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held
Saturday from 2 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street,
Antigonish. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00pm in
St. James United Church, Reverend Peter Smith presiding.
Burial in St. James/St. Paul Cemetery.
In Memoriam, donations to L’Arche Antigonish,
Antigonish SPCA, or a charity of your choice appreciated.
