It is with great sadness that we are announcing the sudden,
tragic passing of our mother and grandmother on Saturday, October 12,

Born in Guysborough, she was a daughter of the late John

Helen was a kind and loving person who was always willing to
give a helping hand. She enjoyed a good laugh and her bingo
games. In her spare time, you could find her on her morning

Jahnyia. Her baking sure will be missed, especially her
molasses cookies. Helen moved to Montreal in 1963, where she
met the love of her life, Eugene, and they were married on July 23,
1966. Helen was employed by the Salvation Army Nursing Home
as a nurse’s aid, and she also worked at various other
jobs. Helen moved back to Antigonish in 1993, where she an
active member of St. James United Church, and she continued following
her passion for caring for clients, retiring in
2015.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail (Jimmy) George; and

Channelle; friend, Glen Cromwell; sister, Delores (Gerald) Pelly;
